China is more formally known as the People's Republic of China and has a communist government, the current communist party is known as the Chinese Communist Party or the CCP is headed by Hu Jintao. China was first brought together in 221 BC by the Qin Dynasty and then in 1912 the Qing Dynasty was replaced by a republic. The highest court is the People’s Supreme Court, in this court the judges are appointed by the National People’s Congress. Then there are Local People’s courts which are made up of higher, intermediate, and basic courts. The definition of a federal republic is a republican form of government implemented upon a federation of states. All members of the cabinet are selected by the president after receiving a nomination from the prime minister. Legislative Branch
The Legislative Branch or Parliament consists of the Council of States and the People’s Assembly. The Council of States has no more than 250 members and 12 of the members are chosen by the president while the remainders are selected by members of the state. The People’s Assembly has 545 seats with 543 being appointed by popular vote and 2 being chosen by the president. Judicial Branch The Judicial Branch of India is made up of the Supreme Court which contains one Chief Justice and 25 associate judges, all of whom are appointed by the President.
